Three Card Poker Hire London

Three cards, one quick decision.

Three card poker is the quick cousin of Texas Hold’em, three cards, play or fold, hand resolved in seconds. It strips poker down to its sharpest form: a snap decision, a reveal, a result. Ideal as a third table when you’ve already got roulette and blackjack on the floor, and excellent for events where guests want variety without long rounds.

How It Plays

Each player is dealt three cards face down. They look at their hand and choose to play (matching the ante bet) or fold (forfeiting it). The croupier reveals their three cards. Hands are ranked by standard poker rankings, high card, pair, flush, straight, three of a kind, straight flush, and the higher hand wins. Side bets on bonus pay-outs (pair-plus, six-card bonus) can be offered for added interest.

  • The decision is binary: play or fold. No bluffing, no second round. If your three cards look halfway decent, play.
  • It’s all fun money, so when in doubt, play. The whole point is the reveal.

FAQs

How is three card poker different from Texas Hold’em?

Three card poker is faster, every hand is resolved in under a minute, with no extra rounds of play between cards. Players play against the dealer rather than each other, which makes it easier for casual guests to join in. Texas Hold’em is the classic player-vs-player format with several rounds of play per hand.

Is it suitable for guests who don’t know poker?

Yes. The hand rankings are the same as standard poker but the decision is binary, play or fold, so guests pick it up in two or three hands. The croupier walks each player through their first few rounds.

Can it be the only game at a small event?

It can, but we’d suggest pairing it with at least one other table for variety. Three card poker is at its best as part of a two- or three-table setup; on its own, larger guest counts will be queuing.
